This year’s theme (as you’ll read in the CFPAC release below), is Collective Care, with inspiring stories of perseverance and generosity during this long pandemic.
The Summit is presented in partnership with Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events (DCASE) and the Cook County Department of Public Health (CCDPH).

2/4 Deadline for USDA Organic Transition Funding
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended its deadline, to February 4, for farmers to apply for financial assistance to cover expenses related to organic certification or transition during the 2020-21 fiscal years. The funding is authorized under the Organic and Transitional Education and Certification Program (OTECP), which is part of USDA’s Pandemic Assistance for Producers initiative.
“We listened to feedback from our stakeholders and are happy to provide organic producers, and those transitioning their operations, enough time to learn about the program and complete the application,” said Zach Ducheneaux, Farm Service Agency (FSA) Administrator.
