Feb. 2: The Evolved Network Teams with Sarah Stegner
I’m a big fan of Chef Sebastian White and The Evolved Network that he founded to help underserved youths gain a holistic, therapeutical learning experience centered on farm to table restaurant/business skills and urban farming. And Sebastian has gotten 2023 off to a running start by scheduling a second fundraising dinner and culinary experience.
This one, scheduled for the evening of Thursday, Feb. 2, is a return engagement at suburban Northbrook’s Prairie Grass Cafe, which hosted a fall harvest dinner with Sebastian in November. And it reunites him with Chef Sarah Stegner, a pioneering leader in the Chicago region’s local food community, who is a mentor and leading advocate for Sebastian.
The dinner will include passed canapes, a five-course dinner featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, and custom wine pairings.

And… ticket sales remain open for The Evolved Network’s dinner, “Let Freedom Ring: The Civil Rights of Food,” which will take place at Uvae Kitchen & Wine Bar in the Andersonville neighborhood (5553 N. Clark) on the evening of Monday, January 16 (coinciding with the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday).
The dinner will feature five courses prepared by Sebastian White and Chef Q. Ibraheem, with optional wine pairings selected by Lindsey Anderson, Uvae’s chef-owner.
