The Ultimate Surf and Turf?
Virtue is reason enough for you to consider buying a ticket for The Evolved Network nonprofit’s fundraising dinner scheduled for Thursday, February 2 at Prairie Grass Cafe in suburban Northbrook.
It is the latest in a series of dinners and tasting events staged by Chef Sebastian White as he pursues his vision of a program that helps underprivileged Chicago youths build restaurant, business and urban farming skills, and provides them with therapeutic and counseling service, through the farm-to-table experience.
That said, the menu is out, and it may just be the clincher if you’re sitting on the fence.
The dinner again pairs Sebastian with Sarah Stegner, chef/owner of Prairie Grass Cafe, a legend in our region’s farm-to-table community, and one of The Evolved Network’s most fervent advocates. And here’s what they’ll be cooking up for the meal two weeks from today.
Wild Striped Bass
Shallot-lemon-herb compound butter, 4 Star mushrooms, and parsnips three ways.
