Sometimes Life Hands You Non-Local Fruit
I am sorry about Local Food Forum’s sketchy week. I’ve been dealing with a sciatica attack that has had me a bit out of commission (and sorts). This really came on hard overnight on Tuesday, and it only took me, oh, about three hours to sit up enough to get out of bed.
Barb contemplated calling an ambulance, but we decided that was a little extreme considering that my only need, besides analgesics, was to get to the bathroom 10 feet away. Besides, I’ve had this before… though not for four years… and the mind-bending lower back spasms that come with sciatica do subside. Eventually.
If you have never had this condition, I strongly recommend that you don’t. This isn’t the most painful non-life threatening condition, but it can’t be too far from the top.
Anyway, it has been getting better each day, which explains why I’m sitting upright enough to write this. Still, not up for a ton of typing, so I’m going to flip the script and run the upcoming farmers market schedule on Thursday, with hopes that I’ll be fully back in action tomorrow.
I have a lot of catching up to do.
That does not sound like fun. Please take care of yourself. Your reporting is more important every week.
