Bob’s World, and Welcome to It
Today is the 2nd “Gotcha Day” for Hobbes.
We had just lost a darling cat to illness, and it was so hard we told ourselves we needed a break. But having had cats for all but a very few weeks since 1987, the pull was hard, and on Dec. 12, 2022 we found ourselves at the Anti-Cruelty Society shelter in downtown Chicago. This sociable and curious guy, then just less than a year old, essentially adopted us.
Though he still gets into some youthful mischief, he makes us smile every day, whether he’s peacefully dozing in his cat tower, bounding into bed for his overnight purrs-and-pets, asserting his authority as the boss of the house, or just being the lovable goofball in the above photo.
Long live the B.O.B. (Big Orange Boy) Cat. We’re glad you made this your forever home.
