Grow Us a Plant, You're the Tomato Man
Bob Zeni, aka Chicago Tomato Man, opens his store to order starter plants
You Say Tomato, I Say Karma Purple
It’s that time of the year when I share the news that Bob Zeni, also known as Chicago Tomato Man, is opening his online store so you can pre-order starter plants from an astounding number of varieties (more than 150).
Bob sells the entire range of tomato plants, from big beefsteak to tiny cherry tomatoes, and in a range of colors that stretch imagination. You’ll love scrolling through the online store looking at the pretty tomato photos and enjoy some of the very creative names of varieties.
The way this works is you choose the plants that you want to buy, then access the pop-up locations around Chicago metro to choose the one where you will pick up your purchase. Pickups begin on April 27 and run through June 2.
