Nothing Wrong With Peak Fall
I write a lot about the peak summer growing season, but there is so much delicious local food to enjoy this time of year too.
My haul from Saturday’s Green City Market included shishito peppers, tropea onions and Delicata squash from Froggy Meadow Farm (Beloit, Wisconsin); cranberries, grapes and apple cider from Ellis Family Farms (Benton Harbor, Michigan); Golden Russet and Sweet Sixteen apples and brussels sprouts from Nichols Farm and Orchard (Marengo, Illinois); and purple bell peppers and carrots from Star Farm Chicago.
Ir’s a crazy busy Tuesday, so have to keep it short today. Here are some pretty foliage photos I took around the market.
