Daley News: Last Day for Chicago City Markets' Flagship
Til Next Year
Today (October 26) was the last day of the outdoor market season at Daley Plaza Farmers Market in Chicago’s Loop. The stretch of warm weather continued today but the skies were all cloudy, a harbinger of rain predicted for later today ahead of a sharp temperature dropoff starting this weekend.
This is also the last week of the season for most of the remaining outdoor farmers markets in our region. Good reason to get out to a market near you — the weekend schedule is below — especially if you need one of these for your Halloween celebration.
Daley Plaza is the flagship of Chicago City Markets, run by the city’s Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE).
So adiós, Picasso statue. I’ll look for you at Daley Plaza’s Christkindlmarket this coming holiday season.
This Weekend’s Regional Market Schedule
This is the season-ender for most of these outdoor markets. Go grab some delicious local food and wish your farmers a pleasant winter.
