Big Local Food Forum Reveal on Monday
It's our third birthday, and we're taking a big step toward expanding our reach
In the Meantime, Our New Logo
Monday (April 1) is the 3rd anniversary of the official launch of Local Food Forum.
I am proud of the impact this publication has had so far, while believing it has only scratched the surface of its potential. Which is why I am so excited about the announcement I’ll be making in tomorrow’s 3rd anniversary issue. It is a big step toward expanding the reach of Local Food Forum. It is also something in which you will be able to participate, and I hope you will.
No spoilers. But in the meantime, please let me know what you think of the new Local Food Forum logo above. It’s actually a first, as the header art I’ve used so far was just something I pulled together in the scramble to launch in April 2021.
The new logo is also my first excursion into using AI for creative material. The platform I used turned out a few attractive options. I especially liked the clean look of this one, and the sun and leaves in the artwork suggest the health and sustainable farming aspects on which this publication focuses so heavily.
That’s just my opinion… I’d welcome your feedback.
And don’t miss tomorrow’s Local Food Forum!
Tips for Your Daily Breakfast Boost
It is often said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It is also probably the one that folks with busy modern lives short-change the most, but it’s a bad idea.
Skip breakfast and by late morning your energy may flag. Settle for a treat that may be tasty but is full of sugar and you may set yourself up for an afternoon crash.
This week’s feature on healthy, affordable eating from University of Illinois Extension and UI Health has easy breakfast ideas that can help get your day off right, with a nice, simple fruit parfait recipe.
