Beerfestiversary is a Week Away
Plus this weekend's market schedule and looking on the bunny side
Hang Out, Drink Beer, Can’t Lose
Beerfestiversary is the annual outdoor beer/food/music festival staged by Malt Row neighbors Begyle Brewing and Dovetail Brewery over Memorial Day weekend. About a month or so ago, I raised the idea of holding the next Local Food Forum Beer Meetup at this event and, dang, how time flies.
So let’s formalize this thing. Beerfestiversary takes place on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28, opening at 11 a.m. both days. It’s free to get in, though there’s a suggested $5 donation for The Friendship Center food assistance program. The beer stands and food trucks are pay as you go.
The friend who responded to my first note requested Sunday, so we’ll definitely do that day, but I’d be more than happy to take one for the team and go both days if there are any Saturday folks out there.
As the photo above from the organizers suggests, this is a popular event that draws a lot of people. I’m going to suggest getting there early, but open to other suggestions.
This is much more of a hangout than a meetup, and if there are enough of us we’ll have to suss out a gathering point and time.
So please let me know if you’re in and we can vet the details later. Reply to this newsletter or email me at bob@localfoodforum.com.

Loves to eat plants… check . Hyperlocal diet… check. Cute as heck… check.
No wonder that the rabbit is the unofficial mascot of Local Food Forum.
Have a great weekend. Go to a farmers market and buy local. Look for rabbits.
