I Made an All-Local Breakfast. You Can Too.
Heading off for a day in the burbs, so figured I’d just show off my all-local breakfast. On the left are strawberries from Mick Klug Farm (St. Joseph, Michigan), red raspberries from Ellis Family Farms (Benton Harbor, Michigan), yogurt from the grass-fed cows at Rocky Road Dairy (Mulberry Grove, Illinois), saskatoon berries from Nichols Farm and Orchard (Marengo, Illinois), with a Mick Klug Farm cherry on top. On the right is a slice of Toasted Sesame sourdough from Publican Quality Bread (Chicago) topped with 8-year-old cheddar from Stamper Cheese (Chicago).
You too can eat an all-local breakfast. Just visit one (or more) of this weekend’s farmers markets listed below. And send photos. Show me up, please.
