11/16 EventFull: It's Pie Talk Time!
Chef Sarah Stegner's EventFull presents a pie talk and sampling
11/16 EventFull Zoom is Pie to the Nth Degree
EventFull is a food prep learning platform launched recently by Chef Sarah Stegner of Prairie Grass Cafe in suburban Northbrook and Darren Gest, a food-focused principal at Deloitte Consulting.
And on Tuesday, November 16 at 6 p.m. central, EventFull is presenting “Pie Taste and Talk!” This online pie-making demo and conversation features Chef Arshiya Farheen of Chicago’s Verzênay Pâtisserie; René Ellis Gelder of Ellis Family Farms in Benton Harbor, Michigan; and Bob Benenson of Local Food Forum.
Oh, wait… that’s me! I will moderate a chat with two of my favorite Green City Market vendors. (Sarah is a co-founder of Green City Market and Darren is on the market’s Board).
Arshiya, who hand-selects Ellis Family Farms produce for her baking, is a French-trained pastry chef. She will demonstrate her pie-making techniques just in time for you to wow family and guests at your holiday gatherings.
Click below to get your ticket. The $35 ticket price includes three samples of delicious Verzênay pies; pickup instructions will be provided upon purchase.
If you would like to learn more about Verzênay, please check out the article we published in July about the opening of their first “brick and mortar” outlet, located at 2507 N. Lincoln Ave. in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
